Hey there! I’m Julia Sarapata de Carvalho, a Polish children’s illustrator and author based in Warsaw, where I live with my Brazilian husband, our three wonderfully wild kids, and way too many crayons (most of which are not mine) ;)

I’ve been illustrating professionally for over 7 years, working on everything from picture books and educational materials to board games, puzzles, and animated ads. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with self-publishing authors and traditional publishing houses across the U.S. and Europe.

Some of my work has also popped up in animations for companies like Brazen, and even in a Pampers advertisement—which felt very appropriate, considering how many diapers I deal with on a daily basis!

At the moment, life is a mix of playtime, storytime, snack negotiations, and squeezing in illustration hours whenever my three little ones decide to nap at the same time (a rare and magical occurrence). Motherhood may be chaotic, but it’s also incredibly inspiring—it’s where most of my best ideas are born.

Alongside client projects, I’m also working on my own book ideas as an author/illustrator and currently on the lookout for the right publishing home. If you're a publisher looking for heartfelt, quirky stories with a splash of color, let’s chat!

Thanks so much for visiting—feel free to reach out if you’d like to collaborate, talk books, or share parenting survival tips (which are always welcome!)
